Commonwealth Auto School's, Driver's education program prepares student for learner's permit exam, the road lessons, and how to pass the road test in the first try. We will provide information on how to be a safe driver at all times. This is a requirement by Registry of Motor Vehicles to obtain Junior Operator License (Driver's between the ages of 16.5 to 18 years old). The student must be 15 years and 9 months old to attend a driver's education class.
All fees must be paid prior to starting the class or on the day of the first classroom lecture. ***Included with pre-pay option***
The student will drive for 90 Minutes on each lesson. Student must be 16 years or older and must have a valid Learner's Permit.
All fees must be paid in full to qualify for the special pricing on 12 hours behind the wheel lessons. ***Included with pre-pay option***
The student observes another driver for 6 hours as required by the Registry of Motor Vehicle. Due to the Covid-19 state laws, the student must complete the 6 observation hours with an adult at home. ***Included with road lessons and pre-pay option***
A parent is required to attend a 2 hours class to learn about Junior Operator Laws and safe driving habits; unless the parent has completed this class in the past five years (certification of completion is required if completed at another auto school)
All fees and account balances must be cleared before the Driver's Education Certificate is issued. ***Included with pre-pay option***
After the completion of 30 hours in class, 12 hours behind the wheel, 6 observation hours, and 2 hours parent class; a Driver's Education Certificate is issued by the RMV.
